Rising Model: Behati Prinsloo

"Top runway model Behati Prinsloo shares her view from the catwalk."
"'When I was growing up, I wanted to be a marine biologist.' says model Behati Prinsloo. 'People told me that I should model, but, you know, modeling isn't something that you expect to really do.' Three years later, Behati, nineteen, has learned in spades that she's more than capable. But despite her success, she's quick to discount the notion that modeling is all glam and glitz. 'You develope a thick skin when you're told you're too skinny--and then too heavy--in one day,' she notes. 'I focus on the positive! The best part is the travel.' Another perk? 'Gorgeous makeup, hair, and all that fun stuff' each season. 'It's amazing what the makeup artists can do,' she says. 'But in my off-time, I take care of my skin. I swear by products from Dermalogica.' Fans can expect to see more of the Namibian beauty, since she's the new face of Victoria's Secret Pink. And this March, Pink will be rolling out the eco-friendly beauty products. 'The line contains organic ingredients,' Behati explains. ' I try to be green every day. My dad is a preacher, so an awareness of the world as a whole has always been a part of my life. It's easy to do the right thing. Why not do what you can?'" -Teen Vogue's E.C.
